The 2007 Egan Cup Champion

Gerry McGuire, 11th child of Mae Egan

Also in attendance to witness the Champion finishing on the 18th hole and attending the award ceremony are:

5th child of Mae & Mickey - George McGuire and Gaye, who joined the bloodline a very long time ago.

Grandson of Mae & Mickey - Scott McGuire, son of George & Gaye and world traveller.

Jeannette McGuire, spouse of Leo McGuire, who was the hostess with the mostest.

Annette Robertson, granddaughter of Mae & Mickey and daughter to Leo & Jeannette, who claims her husband will have to work hard to take the Egan Cup next year.

9th child of Mae & Mickey - Sheila McGuire who was kept warm on the oven door until she entered Grade 1.

Betty McGuire, wife of Pat McGuire, who was waiting on the 18th tee to welcome the Champ.

Melanie, who wants to join the bloodline via Kevin McGuire, with Morgan and Bailey.

And of course Sybil, lovely wife of the Champion, who watched her husband of almost 40 years be humble in Victory.

Hi Mark, good to hear from you. Yes we had fun, especially the Champion. The nest Egan Cup will be 2008 but we are open for suggestions of date and place.

Wow, a ton of work has gone into this all in the name of fun, what a wonderful idea. Way to go Gerry, Grand Champion and way to go Leo for such a wonderful tribute the an even more wonderful lady. Grammie would have been proud of everyone! I'd love to have been present to kick the Grand Champion's butt, but I guess we'll have to wait until the Egan Cup is played out west here in BC, Canada's most beautiful province. What do you think??!!

Congratulations Gerry, but all I can say is that it is going to be a sad day when you lose that Egan cup to a non-Egan! You're going to feel like Tiger Woods watching that Ryder Cup go back to Europe. Robertson intends to be victorious in next year's event - looking forward to it!

good to hear from some of the male golfers. I have not seen any comments from the lady golfers - and I know there are some of you out there. Since I am the Rules Chairman for 2007/2008 all could have a chance to win.
